Research And Design Of Foot Orthosis CAM System

Foot orthosis CAM system is a high-tech project that consists of computer technology, numerical control technology, high speed milling technology, modem machining technology .The paper has researched and designed on foot orthosis CAM for the sake of improving its performance and facture efficiency.In the first place the paper makes a summary of foot orthosis.Then it introduces the concept of numerical control, the development and trend of machining technics and equipments, high speed milling technology. And it gives a presentation of the design and component of foot orthosis, sets forth foot orthosis's CAD, hadware component and CAM, with the addition of computer aided assembly planning. According to the geometric principle of Foot Orthosis milling setup, and interpolating technology of CNC milling is proposed. The interpolation algorithm is developed. The controlling strategy with the separation of the interpolation process and real time step are proposed. Furthmore, the precision and efficiency of the interpolation algorithm are experimentally verified. The references for developing Foot Orthosis CNC milling machine have been established.
