| Web GIS is an inevitable trend today, when the information and network are developing at full speed. Web GIS faces the severe challenges in many aspects. . Metadata is the data about data, no matter dataset adopt what kind of operation, the content of metadata which needed is almost not change. Just because of this, the concept metadata has been introduced in Web GIS. The modeling, storage and access about the spatial metadata based on XML in GIS have been discussed. The advantage of XML document and the relational database has been combined and the arithmetic about the conversion of them has been presented. At last the arithmetic about bus-transfer has been shown, for the research has been realized in the Web GIS about buses. The theory then was applied to practice. |
