Research On Storage Mechanism Of Design Pattern

Design pattern provides some successful solution of software design with reuse. But now pattern selecting relies mainly on people's experience. Pattern selecting automatically require special-designed database to store patterns .In the database there are not only the datum of essential messages of design pattern; but also the messages of how to organize pattern formal-described solutions; and the messages of arithmetic of pattern matching. The formal-described predicates support some kinds of reasoning and analysis and predicting. But now present design pattern storage can't publish existent design pattern and can't store user's case into the database of pattern by Internet, so it can't support the selection of appropriate pattern automatically based on the users' require.In our paper, we describe design pattern formally at first. Secondly, we organized the describe of design pattern and frequently-reused solution effectively, and store all of them in the relation-database. Then on the database of pattern we can manage and search patterns automatically to support automatic pattern selection. We have build the three-layered system to store design pattern, and in the system the user can search and update design pattern by Internet. So in our paper, we discuss the mechanism of storage that can be used effectively.
