Combined with the practical requirement, the technology of inner surface inspection for curved micro-pipe is systematically studied in this dissertation. Based on the special characteristics of the pipe image, the digital image processing program that realizes the pipe inspection aim is developed by Object-Oriented ways. The contour extraction of the inner pipe surface is studied and realized. The valid and high adaptability inspection method is studied and realized. Five chapters are included in this thesis.In chapter 1, firstly, the history and some tendency about micro-pipe inspection are introduced. Then, the special characteristics of the micro-pipe inspection are summarized, and some related techniques are mentioned. Finally, the significance of this project is pointed out and the research contents are summarized.In chapter 2,the project of the pipe inspection system is introduced; the importance of the image collecting subsystem is stated. In order to obtain high accuracy measurement, the factors that affect the qualities of the image data are explored; some methods that eliminate those bad influences are given.In chapter 3,by the requirement of the inspection aim, the characteristic of the image taken from the micro-pipe inner surface is analyzed. According to this characteristic, the detection application program is designed and realized by object-oriented thinking.In chapter 4,according to edge extraction experiment, the common algorithm is proved to be invalid for pipe image, so that the peculiarity of light intensity distribution of the image is analyzed, the way inspecting micro-pipe inner surface is studied and realized. The validity and high adaptability of this method is proved by some example.Some results of this dissertation are concluded in the last chapter. Besides the future tasks on this project are pointed out.
