This dissertation mainly researches the data-transmission system based on PCI bus. The hardware circuit of this system is composed of PCI bus target(slave) interface chip PCI 9052, peripheral RAM and serial EEPROM. After introducing the characteristics in which PCI bus excels other bus, the paper states the configuration method of EEPROM, because the data in EEPROM determines PCI9052' s working states and mode, etc. In software part, the paper firstly introduces the developing tool?DriverStudio2. 7 ,then develops the driver program named PCI9052. vxd of hardware interface card by using VToolsD which is sub-function of DriverStudio2. 7. The function of this driver program is to identify interface card in the system and transform the physical address of local chip to linear address which application program can use. Furthermore, author develops an application program which can read and write 128KBytes' peripheral RAM.The design of hardware circuit and software can be further expanded. Combining with the analog -to-digital circuits and other logical control circuits, this design can be used as a high-rate data collection and transfer system based on PCI bus. |
