With the development of signal sensing, signal processing, ISP and network technology, the device of measurement and control system is developing for the direction of automation, digitalization, flexibility and intelligence. The development of product promotes the improvement of protection to the power equipment. In order to realize the intelligent real time supervision to the large power equipment such as the motor or transformer, the thesis presents a new project based on DSP+CPLD structure that is on the ground of WSM2000 intelligent motor protection device.The intelligent supervising device structure based on DSP and CPLD/FPGA conquers the weak data processing problems existed in the traditional intelligent device that used MCS-51 single chip processor. The use of the programmable logic device CPLD chip simplifies the system design for its integration of all logic control. The system makes full use of DSP and CPLD chip and it has the advantages including flexible structure, generality, expansibility, maintenance. The efficiency of the system algorithm improves greatly and the developing period shortened as well.The high performance DSP processor TMS320C32 is used to process the digital signal as the core of the system in the design. The system logical control function and address decode are realized through the EMP7128S which strengthened the flexibility and re-configurability of the system. The system is easy to upgrade. What's more, the intelligent device such as T6963C LCD controller and 8279 keyboard offer a good man-machine interface. The system has the functions including data acquisition, signal analysis, data storage, data display, intelligent alarm and provided open communication interface through RS-485BUS.The thesis analyses the feasibility of the DSP+CPLD structure and details the hardware and software design. The interface scheme and software realization between DSP chip and its peripheral equipment are presented in the thesis. Furthermore, the bootloader of the software is given at the same time.
