The development of information technology providedopportunity for education and computer networks and multimediatechnique have popularized in many fields, which make it possible tooptimize and share education resource. Consequently, modern remoteeducation is representing great advantage and feasibility and developing incolleges of China. To implement modern remote education there must be a stable platformwhich not only provides general functions but also has authentication toguarantee system safety. This paper described research and design ofremote education platform based on J2EE, which runs in openinterconnected Internet and provides kinds of functions to users such ascourseware download, teacher answering, online discussion, online test andso on. The paper mainly studied the n-tier architecture based on componenttechnology and how to implement business logic and data logic of remoteeducation platform using advance development method and midwaretechnology based on component technology. In the end, the paper described a instance based on J2EE, RemoteEducation Platform of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, whichimplements architecture of modern remote education. Especially the papertook examination sub system as example to introduce the implementationin details. The system implemented the architecture of modern remoteeducation in three aspects: data, computing and presentation. Presently, thesystem is running in BUCT and providing services for education of threedivisions. After three months use and test, it satisfied all requirements, suchas response speed, system loading and so on. |
