With the development of power market, more and more power plants plan to improve themanagement by implementing huge software system. For that power plants is a enterprise that mostassets is placed in a fixed location, an enterprise asset management system with good design canmeet plants'need. After providing the current status of asset management in Chinese power plants, this paper putforward the asset management theory focused on equipment, sets forth the three tier architecture ofEAM. Based on the life cycle management of equipment, this paper studies the manage methodincluding investment programming, maintenance, repair, updating and discuss how to realize theinformation system .
