Research And Design Of The P2P Instant Messenger Monitoring System

With the development of Instant Messenger, the magnitudes of its use are increasing rapidly. But it was also used by the eroticism, reactive saying. To the enterprise, Instant Messenger (IM) brings the problem such as blow the gaff of technology, work efficiency fall and the cost of network rise. More and more attention has been paid on these problems, and more and more researcher who are related to security entered on the study of instant message' s monitoring.Firstly, the concept and architecture of peer to peer network were analyzed in view of the foundation of instant message, and then we anatomize the IM' s communication protocol (represented by ICQ, MSN, and OICQ), such as the pattern of the communication packet and its communication flow, through the study of its packet which were captured from the network.As for the pivotal part of network monitor, packet capture, we designed the intermediate layer network driver based on the study of other technologies which were used at the present time. Also, we import the thought of zero-copy while considering the efficiency of our driver. We lay particular stress on the design and realization of the monitoring tools which were produced by ourselves and the result statistic in the later of this paper. This tool can capture the content of IM information efficiently and completely, filter the communication according to the vested rules according to our large numbers of test data. We also provide the function of the detailed log statistic. At he end of this article, we summarized our work and put forward the direction of future work.
