Design Of PCI Receiver Card For Digital Video Broadcast

DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) is an important standard for transferring digital video, IP data and so on. At present, in China it is time to develop DTV (Digital Television), so the application of DVB has a bright future.The aim of this article is to develop a method to transfer digital video to personal computer based on PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) interface, and play on it at the real time. The content includes hardware design, software design and system verification and test. The hardware design mainly completes the TS (Transport Stream) demultiplexing and filtering, and DMA (Direct Memory Access) transferring. The software design part mainly completes WDM (Windows Driver Model) driver and application software development. The last part mainly completes the verification of logic function, circuit test and system test. The design is reasonable, with low cost and high efficiency, and easy to convert to ASIC.In addition, a new algorithm for local bus arbitration is put forward, which is helpful in theory for future development.
