A Real-time Monitor System Of Vehicle Based On CAN Bus

With the coming automobile age, traffic accidents haue taken a large percent in life accident. In order to deal with these traffic accidents, based on the theory of "black casket" on airplane, researchers have invented the traveled recorder which is called "automobile lack casket". The system discussed in this paper is a common traveled recorder. The real-time vehicle monitor system, which is based on CAN bus, provides many functions, includeing: data acquisition, error monitor, data display, data output, voice warning, etcThe easily achieve system transplanting and expansion are the significant advantage of this system.Under the study of the automobile data recorder at home and abroad, an advanced multi-functional security monitoring system for vehicle is developed, which takes advantage of the technology progress in the fields such as electronic, computer, sensor and controlling. The system not only performs the general functions such as detecting, alarming and so on, but also possesses LCD interface to report parameter and working conditions, and the controlling functions.To perfect the function of the system, improve the advances, and guaranty the credibility, CAN bus is adopted, which makes it possible for users to add units (CAN monitoring module) dynamically to meet different needs, without the least changes of the system's hardware. The monitoring system is made up of four smallest units, one controlling unit, and one main unit. The smallest unit is to sample signals, perform A/D function, and send them to the main unit by CAN bus. Finished processing the received data, the main unit displays the result, and the controlling unit sends out controlling signals.The design idea, the total scheme and the correlative basal knowledge of the hardware and software of the main unit and the smallest unit are discussed, and some key sections are analyzed in detail.
