| Fingerprint data acquisition is the most pivotal sector in the fingerprint identification technology. As the rapid development of fingerprint sensors and the wide application of related technology, high quality fingerprint image acquisition will become a significant issue.In this thesis, an automatic fingerprint acquisition module based on the fixed point DSP TMS320VC5402 and the fingerprint transducer MBF200 is proposed. Meanwhile, to achieve the high effective and low power consumption embedded system, a C program combined with the DSP Assemble Language is designed for fingerprint preprocessing.Our project is to design a DSP-based fingerprint acquisition module which works offline and could be an OEM product. This module features with the performance of small, low cost, easy to develop and flexible to apply etc. Paper includes five sections: the significance and means of this research, system structure and principle, the software design and the hardware development, debugging and the experimental results.Paper introduces the designations of system circuitry, functions, images acquisition circuits and data preprocessing algorithm and processing flowchart in details. The experimental results show that this fingerprint acquisition system has fairly good efficiency, speediness and stability, and the performance could be satisfied with. |
