Study On Activity-Based Quality Cost Management And Its Support Software System

With the severity of market competition and the change of manufacture technology, Total Quality Management (TQM) has gradually changed from the focus on "element" to "process". Quality Cost Management, which is one of the important parts of TQM, should make some adjustment in order to build up the effect of evaluating quality management economical efficiency. So this dissertation is titled as "Study on Activity-Based Quality Cost Management and its Support Software System", discusses the background of Quality Cost Management, framework for its implementation, the functions including account, analysis and control, R&D for support software system.There are six chapters in this dissertation.Chapter one starts from the development course of Quality Engineer and Quality Cost Management, expounds the inevitability and feasibility of Activity-Based Quality Cost Management. Based on studying oriented product life cycle of TQM system framework, it indicates the research meaning, purpose and main content of this dissertation.Chapter two educes the main functions of Quality Cost Management with the basic method of TQM. After analyzing the research status of relative theory, it puts forward Activity-Based Quality Cost Management system framework and implementation steps. Lastly compares the tradition and the Activity-Based way from Quality Concept, Quality Cost Curve and so on.Chapter three discusses the character and defect of Quality Cost Account. After analyzing the existed process model and its attribute information,discusses the activity-based quality cost account model's main elements, which are activity, resource (narrow sense), product, resource cost driver, and activity cost driver. Then detailedly illustrates the principle and steps of account. Lastly make a brief introduction of the character on quality cost analysis.Chapter four firstly puts forward the Quality Cost Control Model and introduces the main parts and its function. Then discusses the optimization of inspection plan based on the Quality Cost Model, including the definition of variable, target function, limit condition.Lastly discusses the application of QFD.Chapter five expounds the R&D of the ABQCMS (Activity Based Quality Cost Management System). Refers to software engineering, uses use case analysis to do requirement design; then does general design and system divination. Develops the main function of its arithmetic, storage, data model and data interface aspects detailedly based on Object-Oriented method. Lastly provides an application case in the manufacture of bearing through ABQCMS software prototype.Finally, chapter six makes a conclusion of the whole dissertation and puts forward the future research in this field.
