Quality Management And Cost Control In MIS Development

Nowadays, information technology as well as its industry has become the symbolism of productivity which has appeared in its new form in the world. However, the rapid development of the information industry in our country has placed national software industry into crisis which the whole world had ever suffered in 1960's. Problems in quality and cost of software development have appeared in the quantity-oriented software producing.First of all, this thesis analyzes the quality management and the researching status concerning cost control during the development process of both software and information managing system. Theories and methods of quality management in traditional manufacturing industry are included in this part and special concern is given to the analysis of quality management in all-round way.Apart from this, this thesis, according to the definition of products of general use and the developing characteristics of managing information system, lists quality definition of the system and discusses thoroughly the quality connections and differences between software and managing information system. Within this part, the thesis regards the process of system development as products manufacturing. Through combining the ideas and methods of comprehensive quality-oriented management with facts, the thesis presents the methods of"Chain Test"and"Bad Record"for quality guarantee and cost control in managing information system development and also conducts researches of cost estimate and control in the development.
