The virtual laboratory based on network technology and virtual instrument has already become a new kind of remote educational pattern, and been paid much attention at present. It is a kind of remote control system for data acquisition and analysis, which connects the virtual instrument via network and whose core unit is network.The researchers can operate the experiment equipment only when they enter the laboratory by the traditional way, but in the virtual laboratory they can visit and control the facilities via Internet at anytime and anywhere. Therefore it meets the modern educational requirements.Firstly, the development of remote education and virtual laboratory are analyzed and an introduction is given in detail for virtual instrument and virtual laboratory including conception, structure, development and application in this paper. Secondly an experiment system for remote interactive control based on C/S model is designed, which is combined with virtual instrument and muti-thread technology. DC motor drived by Siemens 6RA70 DC control system is selected as experimental device and remote interactive control is implemented by LabVIEW.Compared with national and international remote education and virtual laboratory, the innovation points of this paper are described as follows:1. An advanced experiment system for remote visit and remote control is put forward.2. The virtual instrument technology and multi-thread technology is adopted to realize multi-users interactive control for the real hardware. When the multi-users control the server at the same time, the control system could manage the priority and control the operation of the motor in sequence.The main advantage of this system is that the multi-users can send the instruction and receive the feedback at the same time. The client can control the motor in sequence according to their arrival order and then the security of the motor is guaranteed effectively.
