With the development of the technology, the design of the electronic circuit is getting rid of traditional pattern, while using FPGA to design electronic circuit is becoming the trend of design. Because using FPGA to design electronic circuit have the advantage of short time and relative less fund, and can make product as electronic circuit to product as CMOS chip. To the person who knows the history of the Programmable Logic Device, FPGA provide the strong power in the field of the modem electronic circuit design in structure, the scale of the integration, and the design pattern. In the Digital signal processing, filter is very important. It is useful of Digital filter in voice processing, image processing, HDTV, Pattern Recognition and spectrum analysis. Compared with analogy filter, digital filter is better, for example, it can meet the strict need of magnitude and phase and can escape many problems such as voltage excursion, temperature excursion, noise and so on which can not be solved by analogy filter. It is widely used of Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter, because it has the advantage of only zeros, system stable, linearity phase, to implement FFT fast, quick operation and so on. The background of this task is based on signal processing of detector of an emphases task of the equipment department. In the precision detection of a millimeter wave, the encounter of the detector and the objects can not be forecasted totally because of a lot of noise and disturbance existing in the complex battlefield, it will cause fantasticality and distortion of the echo retaked by the detector, and the stably of the echo become bad, as a result, it will reflect the result of the detection, so it is necessary to filter the echo retaked by detector. In this paper, FPGA is used to design FIR filter in the purpose of filtering the noise of the echo because of the advantage of FPGA in programmable fast.
