Analysis And Design Of The MIS In Hotel

With the rapid development of our country's economic development, people enjoy a higher standard of living, the holiday's economy and tour's economy have become the consumptive issue. The tourist industry is one of the most important mainstays of the economy all over the country, this helps the rapid development of hotel .At the same time, with the growing of the hotel, the people's require gets higher, the hotel's competition gets severer .The hotel must face how the hotel can exist and develop .The service level and control level is decisive effect. The urgent affair is how to use advanced management to raise control level. Face the challenge of information age, the hotel used the science and technology to raise control level is an effective method. Although the computer management is n't the key element of the successful hotel's management, it may the fullest scope the nicety ,shortcut,highly active act, this provide the best sustain for the management of hotel's management. So adopting new computer network, developing a set MIS in hotel which run high-efficiently, use conveniently and manage easily is one of the ways of advancing the hotel's management level. In a sense, the informatization of the hotel's management had got the important sign of the modernization. Base on above ideas, we designed this system. This system's functions: 1.Putting up management: guest room destine,registration of accommodation,additional margin,return room and check-out. 2.Guest room management: guest room setup,guest room query,examine guest room user mode. 3.Restaurant management: have dinner destine,restaurant make collections,the intraday operating report。4.Guest room account management: account management,guest room check-out。5.Demang and Stat:demand the guest's information,demand reservation,demand putting up,demand return room,demand train and plane schedules。6.Report forms statement: predict statement ,receive statement,financial statement。7.Nights audit:the intraday taking,nights deal with,nights report forms,nights date resume。8.System setup : initialization ,setup operator ,setup password,setup purview。To such the test ,the following detailed research work: Firstly, author expatiates development background, purpose, meaning, current system research condition and main contents in chapter one. In the second chapter,we discusses some key techniques that this system uses. We use VB to develop this software. VB is easily to use and save a lot of time for us. The database system we use anywhere which creates smaller database files. So we can easily update our system that built with it throughout internet. In the third chapter,we analyzes the system in detail. Firstly describe the construction of the hotel so that the readers would have a general understanding of this organization. Then we analyses the system demand. The most important thing isto establish the system model during Object-oriented analysis. The system model includes object model, dynamic model and functional model. The importance of the three models is different in vary problems. This system emphasize particularly on the object model. Object model describes the object classes and the relationship between them which in the realistic world. And also show the static data structure of target system. Steps that establish object model are: looking for an object class, identifying the construction, defining property, and defining service. Where finding object class, we generally find out much more object class as possible as we can. Therefore, there usually include a lot of incorrect or unnecessary thing among them .We establish the object model of the hotel according to the steps that establish the object model. In the system design stage, the author mainly discusses the design of sub-system, person-machine mutual design and database design. Considering of the realistic situation in most hotels that will use this software system, we adopts C/S construction to develop. Since C/S construction strictly defines the handling scope between clients and server, clients give users friendly graphic interface, while the server only deal with the database system. In the person-machine mutual design part, we made the software easily to use. Database is an important part in the design phrase. This system utilizes object-oriented database design method to design. By this method,we had finished a concerted,apprehensible,fast,right database design. The points of innovation in this dissertation is we adopt object-oriented method to analyze, design and accomplish every sub-system function and design application procedure throughadopting two layer C/S structure. Object-oriented mainly include three steps: system analysis, system design, system implement. This thesis expatiate this three parts in detail.
