Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Chaihu Shugan Powder Combined With Artificial Tear In Treating Dry Eye With Qi - Qi Stagnation

OBJECTIVESTo observe and analysis of chaihu shugan powder combine Polyvinyl alcohol Eye Drops in the treatment of stagnation of liver Qi type the curative effect of dry eye. A nd in order to find the common method of treating dry eye by traditional Chinese me dicine.METHODIncome by using randomized method, accord with liver depression and qi stagnatio n type, a total of 60 patients with dry eye’s were randomly divided into two groups o n average, comparable between the two groups. The treatment group was treated with the chaihu shugan powder combine polyvinyl alcohol Eye Drops; the control group wa s treated with the polyvinyl alcohol Eye Drops. After one months’ treatment, four pati ents were lost, observed the variation including Ocular surface symptoms score, BUT, FLT and SIT before during and after treatment.RESULTS1 After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 85.2%,while i n the control group was 65.5%.The difference of the comparison above was evident, which had statistical significance(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the contr ol group.2 In the treatment group and the control group in the treatment of 2 weeks,4 we eks after treatment of dryness, foreign body sensation, burning sensation, visual fatigue and tear film rupture time (BUT) group is p< 0.05, the difference was statistically s ignificant; photophobia, tear secretion (SIT) and corneal staining (FLT) in the experime ntal group compared with P> 0.05, no statistically significant. Treatment group and th e control group treatment effect and treatment time were positively correlated and that the longer the treatment symptoms ease more obvious, tear break-up time longer, and photophobia, tear secretion and corneal staining was not significantly different.3 Treatment 4 weeks after the two groups of dry eye, foreign body sensation, bur ning sensation symptom score and but, P< 0.05, the difference was statistically signif icant; depending on the material fatigue, photophobia score and sit, FLT comparative (P> 0.05, the difference was not statistically significant. The treatment group in impr oving eye dryness, foreign body sensation, burning sensation and the extension of BU T is better than the control group. The two group in relieving visual fatigue, photoph obia, no significant difference between the increase of tear secretion and repair of cor neal aspects.CONCLUSIONS1 Treatment group and the control group treatment effect and treatment time were positively correlated, that longer treatment symptoms ease more obvious, tear break-up time is longer. The treatment group was significantly better than the control group.2 The two groups treatment can improve dry eye, foreign body sensation, burning sensation, and extend the tear break-up time (BUT), but could not significantly improv e photophobia, SIT, FLT.
