Study On The Correlation Between TCM Constitution And Short - Term Prognosis In Patients With Ischemic Stroke

Objective:Firstly, this study reviews the influencing factors of prognosis in patie nts with ischemic stroke and the relation between ischemic stroke and TCM constituti on. Secondly, screen factors of prognosis in patients with ischemic stroke through obse rvational studies, and analyze the relation between TCM constitution and short-term pr ognosis.Methods:Taking patients with ischemic stroke in East Hospital as the research o bject, we collect general information, baseline conditions and combined diseases, then follow up Bathel-Index and TCM constitution test 1 month after the disease. Through c omparing the distribution of TCM constitution among different prognostic outcomes an d Logistic regression analysis, screen the risk factors affecting short-term prognosis of ischemic stroke.Results:Modern research has been clear that the prognosis of patients with ische mic stroke is affected by many factors. However, most studies are based on modern ri sk factors, and there are less studies based on the relation between TCM constitution and short-term prognosis. TCM constitution has an important value in reflecting the te ndentiousness of disease and predisposition to the development of disease. The distribu tion of TCM constitution in patients with ischemic stroke has a certain law, and patie nts with ischemic stroke own their predisposition constitution. Patients with ischemic s troke often exhibit a pathologic physique constitution when they have no syndrome to differentiate, which largely determines the development, outcome and prognosis of the disease.Therefore, explore the relation between TCM constitution and short-term prog nosis, then give full play to the characteristics and advantages of Chinese medicine in the prevention of ischemic stroke from the point of TCM constitution. Only in this way, can we achieve the goals of establishing health management mode with Chinese characteristics, rich Chinese medical care means, and provide new ideas, new methods for the prevention of ischemic stroke.125 cases are collected in the study, and 81 c ases (64.8%)are newly diagnosed patients. By Logistic regression analysis, build Logist ic Regression Model:Logit(p)=-7.7I5+0.061X1+2.489X2+1.745X3+0.351X4. The regres sion coefficient B of factors X1 (Age), X2 (Yin-deficiency constitution), X3 (phlegm-d ampness constitution), X4 (NIHSS score) are positive, and OR are 1.063,12.047,5.723, 1.420, which are greater than 1. Therefore, advanced age, Yin-deficiency constitution, phlegm-dampness constitution and NIHSS score are risk factors of poor short-term pro gnosis for patients with ischemic stroke. By comparing the size of OR value, it can b e found that the order of contact strength with prognosis of ischemic stroke are Yin-d eficiency constitution, phlegm-dampness constitution, NIHSS score and Age.Conclusion:TCM constitution is an important factor of short-term prognosis in p atients with ischemic stroke, and yin-deficiency constitution, phlegm-dampness constitut ion are the risk factors of ischemic stroke with poor short-term prognosis. But we stil 1 need larger samples and longer observation period studies to further validate and rev eal the law between TCM constitution and prognosis outcome.
