Effect Of Tongxinluo Capsule On Blood Lipid And Hs - CRP In Patients With Carotid Atherosclerosis

Objective: To study the effect of Tongxinluo capsule on blood lipid level and high sensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP) level in patients with carotid atherosclerosis(AS),and to investigate the effect of AS on the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis.Materials and methods: The patients who were diagnosed as carotid atherosclerosis in the Department of Cardiology, Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital from Janurary 2014 to February, were treated with ultrasound,N = 80,male =34,female =46,age 42-75 years old. Inclusion criteria: ultrasonography is of carotid plaques(bilateral either carotid artery and internal carotid artery tube echo wall intima-media thickening is more than or equal to 1.2 mm and less than or equal to 3.5 mm),randomized, double blind and sequential groups were divided into two groups:Tongxinluo capsule treatment group,n=36,male =13,female =23,age 42-75 years old, give Tongxinluo capsule 4 tablets,3 times a day oral treatment; placebo control group,n=44,male =21,female =23,age 48-74 years old, give the same dosage form placebo 4 tablets, three times a day oral treatment, course of treatment for 24 months,respectively, in 1, 6, 12, 18, 24 months to review the urine routine, liver and kidney function, blood glucose, blood lipid, blood coagulation function, super sensitive troponin, super sensitive C reaction protein and other indicators,and record adverse events occurred or not.SPSS21.0 statistical software was used to compare the blood lipid and hs-CRP levels between two groups of patients before and after treatment in two groups.Result:1.Baseline information:there was no statistical significance between the treatment group and the control group(P < 0.05). 2.Lipid levels: treatment group, the total cholesterol(TC),glycerin(TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)levels compared with the control group decreased significantly(3.97±1.21 vs 4.99±0.90),(1.05±0.58 vs 1.98±0.49),(2.07±0.59 vs 2.77±0.38). The level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) compared with the control group increased significantly(1.71±0.43 vs 1.19±0.37).3.The level of high sensitive C reactive protein: the level of C reactive protein in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(1.41±1.38 vs 2.94±1.55).Conclusion:Tongxinluo Capsule by adjusting the lipid levels,inhibition mechanism of inflammatory reaction,so as to achieve delay,role reversal and the instability of atherosclerotic plaque,atherosclerosis by Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine combining prevention with control and provide a theoretical basis.
