Objective: To observe the mechanism of Xuanfei asthma Capsule on rat model of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods: Clean SD 70 rats, 10 rats were randomly selected as the control group, the remaining 60 rats with cigarette smoking and intratracheal injection of lipopolysaccharide method to establish the rat model of COPD.After the modeling,were randomly divided into model group, positive control group( dexamethasone group), Xuanfei Pingchuan capsule high, medium and low dose group. Blank group and model group with distilled water gavage, positive control group with dexamethasone mixed suspension gavage. Other groups with different concentrations of dispersing lung qi and relieving asthma capsules mixed suspension gavage,treatment time for 30 days, daily gavage 1 times.During the treatment, the weight,hair, diet, nails, symptoms and other symptoms of rats were observed. After the end of the treatment by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) were detected in rat serum tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF alpha) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), interleukin IL- 8(IL-8), leukocyte mediated- 1 beta(IL-1) content.Detection of rat alveolar lavage fluid(BALF) in white blood cell count and categories; the expression level in lung tissue were detected platelet derived growth factor(PDGF-B);the lower lobe of the right lung, paraffin section, he staining, pathological observation;statistical data.Results: Model group and blank group compared to serum TNF alpha, IL-8, IL-1content increased significantly(P < 0.01), vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)content decreased significantly(P < 0.01); model group and blank group ratio, lung tissue expression of PDGF-B level increased(P < 0.01);Compared with model group and blank group, the total white blood cell count(P<0.01), neutrophil percentage, and percentage of lymphocytes in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(P<0.01) were increased.Dispersing lung qi and relieving asthma capsule different dose group and model group, TNF alpha, IL-8 and IL-1 content decreased(P < 0.05) PDGF-B expression level was decreased(P < 0.05). The expression of VEGF increased(P < 0.05);Xuan lung qi and relieving asthma capsule high dose group and model group compared bronchial alveolar irrigation lavage fluid(BALF) the total number of white blood cells reduce(P < 0.05) and dispersing lung qi and relieving asthma capsule low dose group and middle dose group and model group compared to the white blood cell count no statistical significance(P > 0.05).Lung pathological results revealed that, in the treatment group, the lung lesion and model group, compared with different degrees of improvement, with Xuanfei Pingchuan capsule high dose group and positive control group is the most obvious.
