Effect Of External Counterpulsation Combined With Integrated Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine On Hypertension And Its Effects On ET And

Purpose:Observe the clinical curative effect and the change of ET and NO after the treatment of the phlegm turbidity combined with blood stasis type of Hypertension by traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) combined with western medicine with enhanced external counterpulsation(EECP).Discuss and analyze its action mechanism.Material and method:Choose 160 cases according with phlegm turbidity and blood stasis syndrome differentiation type of Hypertension. They were randomly divided into the treatment group(EECP group) and the control group,80 cases in each group.The control group treated by the conventional western medicine combined with TCM.While the treatment group on the basis of the control had EECP therapy,once a day,60 minutes every time,lasting for 30 days.Both groups collected the blood samples and measured the content of ET-1and NO within 10 minutes before the first counterpulsation, and 10 minutes after the last counterpulsation.At the same time,the situation and the TCM symptoms of the two groups who had the Hypertension were recorded before and after the treatment.Results:1 The antihypersive effects of the treatment group was 92.5%.It was higher than the control group’s 85.0%.The differences between them were significant(P<0.05).2 In the efficacy of TCM syndrome integral on control group was87.5%.It was higher than the control group’s 77.5%.The differences between them were significant(P<0.05).3 Before treatment,the the content of ET-1and NO of two groups had no difference(P>0.05).After treatment,the the content of ET both of each groups significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05);but the ET-1 content of the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group’s(P<0.05).Meanwhile the NO content of each groups significantly decreased than before treatment(P<0.05);but the NO content of the treatment group was significantly decreased than the control group’s(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of the phlegm turbidity combined with blood stasis type of Hypertension by TCM combined with western medicine with EECP has exact effective incontrolling the blood pressure and improving the TCM syndrome.And its action mechanism relate to improving endothelial founction by change the content of ET-1and NO.This therapy has the very high safety and patient compliance,so the EECP should be used widely.
