Purpose: Depending on the Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome differentiation theory,choosing the therapy principle of strengthen spleen resolving dampness and regulating qi and blood to the patients, who were diagnosed as the Ulcerative Colitis(UC) of the syndrome of spleen-deficiency and retention of dampness. Giving the treatment group patients the Traditional Chinese medicine Jian Pi Zhu Yun decoction, Meanwhile the treatment group patients also given the mesalazine sustained-release granules. Adopting the combination of Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine treatment joint,to observe the clinical effect of treat the Ulcerative Colitis(UC) of the syndrome of spleen-deficiency and retention of dampness, the improving to the clinical symptoms and signs, the intestinal mucosa performance of colonoscopy of the patients, and the effect to the C-reactive protein. In order to provide the clinical evidence to the combination Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine treat Ulcerative Colitis.Material and method:Choose 44 hospitalized patients who were diagnosed as UC of the syndrome of spleen-deficiency and retention of dampness. All of the patients that hospitalized in the department of Spleen and Stomach in the First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine during from January 2014 to December 2015.According to random number table,these patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group include 21 patients. The control group were treated by mesalazine sustained-release granules 1.0g,three times a day orally; While the treatment group on the basis of control group, according to the signs and symptoms different, depend on the theory syndrome differentiation, also given Traditional Chinese medicine decoction,100 ml orally three times a day. The total course of the two group were eight weeks. All patients before and after treatment were collected and recorded four diagnostic information,the colonoscopy mucosal ulcer healing, and the C-reactive protein. Then all the data was analysis by the SPSS17.0 statistical software.Results:1.In the terms of the improvement of intestinal mucosa performance of colonoscopy of the patients, after the treatment, the treatment group: significantly effective in 6 cases, effective in 14 cases, ineffective in 2 cases; and the control group: significantly effective in 4 cases, effective in 10 cases, ineffective in 8 cases, the treatment group were better than the control group, The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2. Over the treatment, the clinical symptoms integral both improvement, the treatment group symptoms integral was better than the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The efficacy of TCM syndrome, the treatment group: clinically cured in 6 cases, significantly effective in 8 cases, effective in 7 cases, ineffective in 1 case, the total effective rate was 95.24%;and the control group clinically cured in 4 cases, significantly effective in 5 cases, effective in 5 cases, ineffective in 8 cases, the total effective rate was 63.64%, The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3. Over treatment the C-reactive protein were both decreased, the treatment group was more than the control group, The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:According to the academic thought of “Intestinal carbuncle”.The therapy principle of Jian Pi Zhu Yun decoction was strengthen spleen resolving dampness and regulating qi and blood,giving the patients the combination of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment method could improve the clinical symptoms, promote the mucosa recovery,reduce the pain of the patients, make the quality of survival better.
