This thesis uses the seventh and eighth volume of Kan Chashan’s "The Cottage Poems of Yellow Leave and Setting Sun"(a block-printed edition in the Edo period,1812) as the research text to analyze "Eastern Tour Poetry" and probes the unique "east tour" endemic images presented in Chashan’s poems from the perspective of Chinese culture’s influence on poetical language and Kan Chashan’s creativity on poetical language. From which we can see that Kan Chashan’s Chinese poetry is deeply influenced by Chinese poetical language culture, but at the same time, they have their own unique "Fudoki" images rather than simply imitate Chinese poetry.The author of this thesis mainly analyzes nine pieces of Chashan’s "Eastern Tour Poetry" based on the detailed notes of more than sixty pieces of poems from seventh and eighth volume of Kan Chashan’s "The Cottage Poems of Yellow Leave and Setting Sun" and obtains the following conclusion:Firstly, Chashan’s "Eastern Tour Poetry" is deeply influenced by Chinese poetical language culture in three respects.(1) Copying Chinese poetical language without much change on the meaning and usage of its words. Such as, the "dawning mist","remnant stars","mast", and "island tree" in the "On Hyogo Road", the "dreams about hometown" in "Nineteen Chang You Mixed Poems(the third)", and so on.(2) Borrowing Chinese poetical language to represent the similar images only with little changes, such as,"Yue Xue","Ma Shou" and "Xi Yang Shi" in "Grinding Ridge" and "Sheng Sheng" and "Xian Ge" in "Nineteen Chang You Mixed Poems (the twelfth)".(3)Adding verbs or replacing nouns basing on Chinese poetical language to convey the similar images, such as,"with rain meaning" and "with Chunxi" in "On Hyogo Road" adds verbs on Chinese poetical words,"Yuyi" and "Chunxi", and etc.Secondly, Chashan makes some creativity on Chinese poetical language, which is manifested in the following two aspects:(1) Creating new poetical images through changing original Chinese poetical language, such as "red cloud on the lake""Grinding Ridge" replaces words that signify colors, like "purple","red" and "jade" and words that indicate time like "morning" and "evening" with words indicate location like "lake".(2) Borrowing Chinese poetical literary quotation to signify endemic images in the eastern tour, but the meaning of the imagery is totally different from the original literary quotation. Such as,"Jing Ji Lu" in "Grinding Ridge" formerly means the name of an administrative structure set in Song Dynasty, but Chashan uses it to represent the journey to the capital city, i.e., Edo. Although "Cun Ji" and "Zhuzhi" in "Nineteen Chang You Mixed Poems (the eighteenth)"are borrowed from Chinese poetry literary quotation, they represent endemic images in Japan influx areas in Chashan’s poetry.poetical language, rendering the poetry with strong Japanese Fudoki characteristics. This is the feature of Chashan’s eastern tour poetry which distinguishes it with his other poems, such as,"Song Wang Temple","Nanzi Stele" in "On Hyogo Road", and so on.
