Tao Yuanming is one of the most famous poets in the Chinese poetry history. He isthe first person, perfectly fusion wine and poetry.He is also the first person,who creatsa lot of wine poetry. Wine gives Tao Yuanming and his poems particular value andsignificance, through research and analysis Tao Yuanming’s wine poem show: wine isnot only Tao Yuanming’s lyrical of tool, but also is an important part of his life, no wineis no Tao Yuanming and no poems of Tao Yuanming. Wine of the poems and poeticwine form a new poetry in the creation of poetry of Tao Yuanming, also make this winepoem subject matter content rich and diversified. With the help of wine and poetry, thepoet will their inner feelings and thoughts direct, indirect, light or heavy to express,through the wine poems reflect the poet different life stages, their loneliness, sadness,joy and happiness in different period. In this paper, through analyzing the wine poemwriting motivation, role and content, the first two chapters of Tao Yuanming summedup the characteristics of wine poem: fate, noble, broad-minded and so on. Followed byan analysis of the acceptance of scholars in Tang and Song Dynasties to Tao Yuanmingand the wine poem characteristics in his works, in different historical period anddifferentsocial background, different poets wine has different understanding,acceptanceand development on poetry of Tao Yuanming, thereby enriches the connotation andextension of wine poem. In addition, Tao Yuanming wine poems of pastoral theme inlater inherited and development, have been expanding and deepening, in the case ofaccepting the wine poem pastoral themes,scholars in Tang and Song Dynasties createthoughts, farewell, which made the wine poem win wider meaning and development.
