An Analysis Of The Role Design Of "Short - Hiding" In Animation

As one of the most important elements in the pre-design of animation,the characters of animation play the vital role. Animation characters are usingthe artistic means of painting to express their images and themes. Asuccessful animation character must be well-known and enduring. It musthave precise proportion, unified artistic style, distinctive characteristics,prominent national features and a good structure which can fully support themovement of characters. This dissertation is discussing the character designthrough the producing of the animated short film “Hide-and-Seek”. It mainlyanalyzes the influences brought by the modeling of the characters and the useof the color to the animated characters. It will provide the theoretical basis forthe creation of animation characters, consequently improve the quality andefficiency of the creation of animation characters in the future.
