Research On Mezzo Soprano

The particularity of voice makes contraltos a rare kind of sound which isdifficult to be trained, so it is also difficult to get a good contralto. With thedevelopment of the singing career, the singing techniques are asked to betrained with more strict and higher requirements. Therefore, contraltos shouldpossess more comprehensive singing technology and performance ability sothat they could play an important role in music performance. This paper aimsat analyzing and elaborating the general development of the contralto voices,the shaping of image in an opera, basic training in singing and the trainingdifficulties in Coloratura skills. Taking two pieces of Mezzo-soprano Ariasand one Concerto as example, this paper attempts to make a specific analysisof how a contralto masters the Coloratura skills well.
