This thesis, with better singing popular music work as the researchobjective and the emotion as the main line, briefly summarized developmentalprocess of pop music in China, current development status of pop music, theconcepts and role of emotion element in the popular music works as well as therelationship between the emotion and sound, focused on analyzing andresearching the way and methods of expressing the emotion in the music work,detailedly narrated and listed related evidence and cases, further discussed thestandards of deep understanding and personal feelings and the required relevantability and quality which the singer should have and preliminarily explored theemotion devotion and of required psychology adjustment in singing.This thesis is based on sound data and literatures and used the methodssuch as investigation, observation, information study, case analysis andexperience summary, etc. The core achievement is to use “Mei’s research mode” toanalyze the emotion connotation of pop music works. To put it briefly,“concept-behavior-music” mode was used to analyze the music works and the author,through which, the emotion contained in the work can be more acutely and deeplyexplored and then several required abilities for singer to personally experience theemotion in the work such as ability of observation, ability of feeling, ability ofimagination and ability of comprehension as well as the necessarily required long-termemotion accumulation and suitable psychological adjustment ability for real emotiondevotion were proposed. This thesis takes the emotion element as the main line, theresearch method and cases are scientific and representative and the achievement, basedon the exploration and discussion, has certain reference.
