The Research On Developmental Ability Of Desire And Belief Emotional Understanding Of3-5YearsOld Children

Desire and belief emotional understanding also called based on desire and beliefsemotional understanding. It is one level of emotion understanding. Desire emotionunderstanding means the individual to understand the emotion when the certainsituations is meet one’s desire or not. Belief understanding means the individual tounderstand the emotion when the certain situations is meet one’s belief. There is adispute between the age of children begin to understand the desire and belief emotion.The general conclusion of the study is3years old children can understand the desireemotions.4years old children can understand the belief emotions. A few concludedthat the3-year-old child can understand the desire and belief emotion. The parties tothe dispute is the age of3-5years old, the reason of the dispute may be the differenttheoretical and methods. The former focuses on the application of the false belief, thelatter focus on emotional understanding of social perception ingredients(Tager-Flusberg,Sulivan,2000).whether the emotion understanding is the socialperception part of the psychological theory is very important to enrich the theoreticalresults、amend the experimental results, guiding children’s social development.So,this paper’s subjects is3-5years old children, the method and objectives are asfollows:Fistly the study used the social perception task to verify the emotionalunderstanding is belong to social perception ingredients of Theory Of Mind.Secondly,the situations in different tasks as independent variables, to certain the method ofinto the situational emotional understanding is useful to children’ desire and beliefemotional understanding. Finally, used the Child-join emotional understanding task tostudy the developmental ability of desire and belief emotional understanding of3-5years old children.This study reached the following conclusions:(1) Emotion Understanding belong the social perception ingredients of two part ofcognitive model of Theory Of Mind.(2)Child-join emotional task of understanding helps children understand the desireand beliefs emotions.(3)3-year-olds can understand the two emotion.(4) There is no gender difference between based on desire and belief in the emotionalunderstanding ability...
