“Rich class” in ancient China was created in tang and song dynasty, is the ancientChinese traditional society’s important strength, to the research of traditional Chinesesocial economy, politics, culture is of great significance, the development of today’ssociety also has a positive guiding role. Rich class through the development of thetang, song, yuan, Ming, have distinctive features, rich class of the qing dynastyinherited the characteristics of the since the tang and song dynasty the prosperouscommon people, but also developed the prosperous common people different aspects.Bearing on the qing dynasty in ancient times, the modem, get rapid developmentof commodity economy, this period as a transitional phase in ancient China andmodern, both deeply ingrained influence traditional Chinese society, also gradually tothe modern trend gradually, directly affects the social from all walks of the early qingdynasty. Rich class in this specific historical stage has played a positive role in society,has become the important force. Since song dynasty in the south of the Yangtze riverand has been the center of economy in our country, represents the highest level ofnational economic development, the region’s rich, cultural level, the highest theamount, as the typical representative significance. So the rich class in early qingdynasty, jiangnan region system research has a certain academic value.This article attempts from the aspects of politics, culture, economy, thought richclass in the south of the Yangtze river to the early qing dynasty make a relativelycomprehensive discussion and research, try to in this special period and specialgeographical study on a full rich class. The first chapter provides an overview of theancient Chinese rich class generation, definition, characteristics, social function,having a traditional society rich class basic situation briefly.
