This is a research paper on the analysis of Wagner’s overtures. It is an attempt toprobe into the compositional skills, one of which is the use of pitch in treble and bassregisters harmonically and vertically, of Wagnarian Operas. By understanding of hislife experiences, the use of tonality, modulations, chromatics, motives, and thesignature use of the treble and bass pitch in harmony and polyphony, one gets a betterpicture of Wagner, as a person, a composer and his unique compositional skills inoperatic works. His creative and idiosyncratic skills in chromatic use and pitchrelations have deeply influenced many composers in the field of operatic developmentin the19th and20th century.
