A Study On The Positioning Of General Functional System Of Camouflage - A Study On The Application Of Camouflage Pattern In Military

There are three dominate characters in future hi-tech local war: the high-grade oftransparency of the battlefield which is also know as “exposure equals destroy”,weapons with both greater power of destruction and higher accuracy as well as greatermobility of the army. All kinds of effective scout can provide high-grade oftransparency of the battlefield. The purpose of scouting is to zoom in the target and toexpose the target from the background. All sorts of using technical methods to reduce,eliminate or simulate the difference, keeping the target from exposure by mislead thescouting are defined as camouflage. Camouflage patterns are the most basic and directfact of the camouflage. The U.S. army has always been the reference object of othersfor its super military power, high technique level and plenty combat experience. AllU.S. army’s research is based on the slogan of “an army conquers any weather andterrain condition” for its global strategy. Camouflage pattern is a basic researchsubject of combat uniforms as well as the cloth and design thinking.The use of camouflage is to survive in the battle, avoid being exposed thusconceal the army and lead to victory. Camouflage, known as a major method ofanti-military scouting and strike, can also tell individual protection ability.Camouflage can not only save soldiers’ lives but also reduce the likelihood ofpersonal injury. The superb physical and technical request of modern soldier makes itimpossible to provide qualified backup when injury comes which would lead to adecline of army’s military power.Most PLA’s camouflages are simply designed without taking camouflage se as asystem into consideration which lead to confusion of cover and equipment andreduce of camouflage level. Studying camouflage system, especially camouflagetechnology, basically complete the system of our army’s camouflage products issignificant to increase individual survive and combat ability. This issue will be partof camouflage system study project hold by the QEI GLD PLA, meanly analysisnative and foreign camouflage pattern and provide theoretically support for the QEIGLD PLA’s project.The analysis of native military equipment shows that although the importance ofcamouflage has been emphasized, the study of camouflage system can be muchfurther. The lack of combination of research and development, product and stockleads to confusion of colors, harmony and effect. As the need of this study, foreign camouflage equipment’s pattern, servicecondition, pattern interaction and color efforts were sum up for analysis of eachcamouflage system’s advantages and disadvantages which provides theoreticalsupport for our army’s further camouflage system study. In this issue, I will collectlots of camouflage data, sum up and analyze them of each one’s benefits andshortages, consider foreign advanced technologies and provide suggestions for ourarmy’s further camouflage system study.
