A Study Of Pipa Music Theory Since The New Century (2001-2013)

Basing on CNKI.NET as the platform, taking academic papers publishedthrough2001-2013by Pipa professionals from CNKI.NET as the research object, wequantitatively and qualitatively analyze122pipa music theory literature published inthe "people’s music","music research","Chinese music" and journals from Big9music institutions during the past13years. The study focuses on the number ofarticles, content and the author etc. The paper is divided into three parts: generalsituation of the publication for nearly13years, followed by achievements, and finallythe existing problems. Pipa music theory of literature has been significantlyinfluencing the heritage and development of pipa music today for the past13years.Not only does it fill the blanks of a lot of new works on pipa, new techniques in theresearch of theory, but it also produces some "innovation paradigm" in academicachievements. This article preliminarily interprets academic progress in pipa musictheory research literature, and a series of problems in the development for the past13years.
