Three piano sonatas were composed in1926,1931and1945by Bela Bartok. Hewas effected by the war in these three pieces,so the tradition form of the music wasaccelerated to divide, the melody was broke up, and the harmony was too intense toaccept. However, the noisy and anxious rhythm reflected the style of the neo-classic.The materials are extremely simple, and the harmony brings intense impression tous. The pieces were combined folk music and ostinato technique, which formed thestyle of the dynamic rhythm. These three pieces show the composer’s ability ofcontrolling the different style in his different period. The dissertation brieflyanalysis the music and materials in first movement of three piano sonatas, andconclude the using of symmetry and non-symmetry. Hope this analysis dissertationcould inspire us to think and explore in composing of piano and orchestra music later.
