From the research situation from all walks of life, the study concerned on the body has penetrated the different fields of the society. Not only in philosophy and sociology research which regard human as center, but also in politics and anthropology, scholars spare no effort to put the human body in a center position. To deepen and expand, they excavate the potential value of the body on this foundation. In such a special background, aesthetics based on the sensory perception must turn its research direction and research object to human body,which is the carrier and the basic of the sensory perception. Thus the new subject, body aesthetics came into existence.Title of this research "The body aesthetic theory of Shusterman’s pragmatism" is mostly divided into three parts:The first part, the basic concept of Shusterman’s pragmatic aesthetics of "pragmatism" and "aesthetics" are presented to give people comprehensive understanding of the basic connotation and the significance of subject concept. The second part, the specific content of Shusterman’s pragmatism body aesthetics are introduced in detail, including body consciousness, body redemption, Aesthetic dimension, and other body aesthetics in various kinds of problems of Shusterman’s body aesthetics were reviewed by exploring other philosophers’points. The third part, expounding comprehensively the influence and value of Shusterman’s pragmatism body aesthetics through three aspects of the breakthrough from the traditional pragmatism, humanitarian concern and the relationship between the aesthetic.In this article, Shusterman’s pragmatism body aesthetics are presented-detailly and concretely through the three parts in detail. Moreover, The author also puts forward some original ideas from pragmatic aesthetics, body aesthetics and aesthetic practice.
