Nature worship is the extremely important one religious culture phenomenon in the era ofThe Book of Songs, to offer sacrifices to the God of nature is an important part of production andlife of the people. The Book of Songs reflects the wide spread natural worship of deities of thatera. To study psalms from the perspective of religious can not only help in better understandingthe thoughts and feelings of the poetry, but also can provide more historical data for the study ofancient Chinese religion. The study of the nature worship of The Book of Songs only mentions insome of the folk culture study books and in a few journal articles did not taken it independentand given specialized research. This dissertation studies worship of the God of heaven, theworship of the God of land, the animal worship, and the plant worship through comprehensivestudy of the natural and nature worship related poems,The introduction part mainly introduces the history and the present situation of the natureworship in The Book of Songs.The first chapter is generality about nature worship in The Book of Songs. The first partdiscusses the origin and development of natural worship. The second part, in the form of tablelists nature worship and related poems in The Book of Songs. There are64poems in The Book ofSongs reflect the nature worship.The second section discusses the worship of the God of heaven, including the celestialworship and the astronomical phenomena worship. The celestial worship divided into Sun Godand Stars God worship, the astronomical phenomena worship divided into Raytheon worship,Drought God worship, Rainbow taboos, Cold and Warm God worship, Rain God worship andother aspects. Sheng Min and Xuan Niao reflect the Sun God worship, Ji Ri reflects Stars Godworship, Yin Qi Lei reflects Raytheon worship, Yun Han reflects Drought God worship, Di Dongreflects Rainbow taboos, July and Xiao Ming reflect Cold and Warm God worship, Jian Jian ZhiShi reflects Rain God worship.The third chapter explores the worship of the God of Land, including the Earth Godworship, worship of Mountains and Rivers, worship of Road and Travel. The Earth God usuallysacrifices in spring and autumn. Mountains worship refers to the deify and worship of themountains and rivers, the rituals include Wang and Ying. Rituals of the Road and Travel God arecalled Zu or Ba.The fourth section studies the animal worship. The ancients believed that kylin, phoenix,tortoise, and dragon could predict the future, called them the Four Spiritual. Other miscellaneousGod worship includes the worship of horse, tiger, pig and fox. The fifth section explores the plant worship. Analysis of the worship of plant remains, suchas tree worship, yarrow worship and the worship of wild herbs, through the analysis of plantsadoration in The Book of Songs.
