Currently, there have already been many researches on aggressiveness domestic and overseas.Researchers process discussion and analysis on the affecting factors, patterns and characteristicsof aggressiveness from all kinds of angles. Within all these vast researches, rarely any scholartakes emotion which is a significant factor to initiate aggressiveness, as an independent variableand discusses its influence on aggressiveness. Studies about how emotion affects aggressivenessare much rarer. Besides, in recent years, with the up-raise of social information process theory,the concept of hostile attribution bias has been gradually introduced to our country, and domesticresearchers have drawn attention on the study of its influence on aggressiveness abroad.However, domestic studies on the influence of hostile attribution bias are concentrated mostly onchildhood stage, only a few studies branch out to the teenage stage, and let alone the emergingadulthood. Therefore, this research uses college students as testes and takes emotion and hostileattribution bias as independent variables to conduct an initial experimental discussion onrelationship between emotion, hostile attribution bias and aggressiveness at the stage ofemerging adulthood.Firstly, using the method of scene setting and combination of different video materialsrespectively, this study induces subjects’ positive, neural, and negative emotions,and then useschili sauce paradigm and explicit affective Simon task(EAST) to test the college students’explicit aggressiveness and implicit aggressiveness under different emotional conditions in orderto explore the impacts of emotion on college students’aggressiveness. After that, under theconditions of evoked college students’ emotions, we introduce hostile attribution bias variablesto see whether different emotional conditions affect college students’ hostile attribution bias andwhether hostile attribution bias and aggressiveness are related. In the end, the study considers thetree variables synthetically, analyses whether hostile attribution bias acts as an intermediary rolebetween emotion and aggressiveness, and discusses the influence mechanism of emotion onaggressiveness preliminarily.The research draws the following conclusion:(1) Emotion has influence on college students’ explicit aggressiveness mainly in the way thatnegative emotions add up to explicit aggressiveness.(2) Emotion has no influence on college students’ implicit aggressiveness, indicating thatcollege students’ explicit aggressiveness and implicit aggressiveness are experimentallyseparated.(3) There is hostile attribution bias within college students and emotion has great impact oncollege students’ hostile attribution bias, which is shown in that negative emotions improvecollege students’ hostile attribution bias while positive emotions reduce college students’ hostile attribution bias. On the two latitudes of hostile attribution bias, positive emotions significantlyreduces the hostile attribution bias in relative stress environment, and on the other hand, negativeemotions significantly improve hostile attribution bias in instrumental stress environment.(4) College students’ hostile attribution bias is significantly positive correlated to explicitaggressiveness, and shows little correlation to implicit aggressiveness. The higher hostileattribution bias is, the greater college students’ explicit aggressiveness is.(5) After adding hostile attribution bias, emotion still shows significant influence oncollege students’ aggressiveness. Hostile attribution bias does not play significant intermediaryrole between emotion and aggressive activities.
