Since the beginning of the new millennium, China female films presented a scene ofprosperity, boating vast female film,director Li Yu’s film works have become one of the brightdawn. Director Li Yu in the film industry for more than ten years to stick to the pursuit of art,make her films have a consistent literary style, which for our country full of commercialatmosphere of the movie industry into a fresh and cheerful atmosphere. Especially in2011, thefilm "Buddha mountain" won great acclaim in the Tokyo Film Festival and obtain considerablebox office in the domestic, Li Yu’s "Buddha mountain" has become a model for the survival ofChinese Art film. In2012, the commercial film "Double Xposure", that is full of literary style, isvery successful. And Li Yu was pushed to the focus of public attention once again.The research object of this paper is the new generation of Chinese female director Li Yufrom2001to join the film industry for over ten years the creation of five films "Fish andElephant"(2001),"Hong yan"(2005),"Lost in Beijing"(2007),"Buddha mountain"(2011),"Double Xposure"(2012). This paper based on the feminist film theory, film theory, narrativetheory, semiotics, communication theory and other related theory, using the literature researchmethod, case study method, inductive and summary method, and other research methods,director Li Yu’s film works were systematically combing and commentary. This paper throughthe brief analysis of the growing experience of director Li Yu and the detailed analysis andinterpretation of the movie theme, narration, visual language, film concept about director Li Yu’sfilm works, trying to extract Li Yu as a director of the new generation of Chinese female directorhas unique female perspective and mature film idea.In the introduction part of this paper simply introduces background and significance of thisresearch topic, and systematically and exhaustively combs the research papers and articlesrelated to this topic, and carefully summarizes the related papers according to the papers’arguments, then explains the research methods and point out the innovation of this article.The preface of this paper briefly outlines the "female film" in the West and the East as wellas through the ages in China as a phenomenon, and its colorful and evolution of new.The first chapter is a brief interpretation of "female perspective", combining with richexperience such as director Li Yu’s two gorgeous turn from childhood to work analysis Li Yu’snatural female perspective. In the second chapter, Li Yu’s five films were used as the case studyobject, respectively, and respectively in detail to interpret Li Yu’s movie theme that reflection onthe social reality and concern for women. The third chapter through the analysis of narrativeangle, narrative space and narrative style such three aspects of Li Yu’s film, Li Yu’s strongfemale consciousness is discussed, found that Li Yu conveys a mottled life reality to the audience through the films. The fourth chapter analyzes the audio-visual language of Li Yu’s films,including the classical symbolic images, the symbolic color and lighting, and even emotionalmusic of Li Yu’s films. Li Yu weaves woman’s feminine emotions for the audience with imagesand sounds. The fifth chapter throughout Li Yu join the film industry for more than ten years, onthe road of Li’s movie thorns and glory coexisted, along the way, Li Yu has her own artistic stickalso has a commercial variation, and finally successfully embarked on the road of Art film, set upthe operation model of success for our country relatively weak Arts film.The conclusion part analyzes deficiencies of the Li Yu film reflects in the initial stage ofdevelopment of the whole Chinese female film, and to explore the Chinese female film’s futureaccording to the development of Li Yu’s films.
