Hanns Sachs(1881-1947) who has a close relationship with Freud is one of the earliest psychoanalysts. Europe was the life center of his early time, the pressures in which he faced with drove him accept the invitation of Boston Psychoanalysis Institution in1932, from then on, his life in U.S.A. began. Sachs made many exploration in the realm of psychoanalysis theory, he believe that the unconsciousness does not exist a priori but originates in the course of time, the real childish forms the nucleus of the unconsciousness. The life span of human is consist of different stages: Childhood, Puberty, Post Puberty, further division exist in the stage of Childhood, each stage has its unique way of satisfaction. The daydream which is the start-point of creation could be divided into kinds as individual daydream, mutual daydream and daydream of community according to their social influence, the course of creation of art is the course of transformation between different kinds of daydream. In the studies of psychopathology, he regard the perversion as the expression of strong component drive, whose fragment provide the possibility for the formation of perversion. The obsessive neurosis is the production of the superego, is the result of the confliction of the different parts of the mental structure. He has his special way of treating, think that the psychotherapy of which aim is happiness is more like magic, should not rely much on scientific device, and psychotherapist, whose ability is finite, should send as much love to his patients as possible. Sachs devote himself in the study of applied psychoanalysis, he made many exploration in the realm of culture-social problems from the viewpoint of psychoanalysis. Sachs’ work has enriched the realm of psychoanalysis and psychopathology, promoted the application of theory of psychoanalysis, prompted the application of psychoanalysis. Yet, Sachs’theory has some clear shortage, his theory is unsystematic and dependent, and press too much on the unconsciousness.
