Burners are common burial objects in the Han tombs, which occupy an important position in the daily life of the Han Dynasty. The burners are not only beautifully shaped with many forms, but also widely found in the whole country.At present, the burners have been researched diffusely, but it is still a blank space for their statistics study and typology analysis. The paper combines the archaeological excavation report, takes unearthed burners as the main object of study and conduct a statistical and carding study about them. The burners are divided by the types with the archaeology typolich ogy method, whfills the research gaps of the previous scholar. At the same time, the function and the spices of the burners are discussed in order to describe the relationship between the burners’ shapes and the mystical beliefs of the Han Dynasty. Furthermore, it can help us get a more systematic and comprehensive understanding on the burners from substance and culture.As an interaction result of the era, society and culture, the burners are important reflection of the material and spiritual life in the Han Dynasty. The arrangement of the burners’ shape changes can help the research of the life and cultural history in the Han Dynasty.
