Qi Dong Ye Yu (齐东野语)is a note book of broken news in history,written byZhouMi in Song Dynasty.The book has extensively diverse content and affluent lnaguages, has great value in the study of the history of modern Chinese language and Chinese vocabulary. This thesis just focuses on the embryo study ofits language with regard to lexieal aspect.Besides the introduction and conclusion, the thesis consists of four chapters:The first is porlogue,which briefly introdues the genearl situation of<Qi Dong Ye Yu>,including ZhouMi&Qi Dong Ye Yu and the content,circulation of versions,persent status and significances of the study etc, as well as the research methods adopted of the thesis. Many scholars have achieved lots of research results in history as well as in literature by researching this book from the different perspectives. They have achieved some accomplishments in language researches. However, from the perspective of dating books vocabulary there is lots of room for research in the field of linguistics. So the thesis uses statistical methods to measure exhaustive vocabulary qualitative analysis of the book, and through the method of synchronic and diachronic comparison with the combination of lexical features, to explore the vocabulary characteristics and its modernity.The first chapter of the thesis, affluence of lexes,which is mainly found from the existence of a number of nominal wodrs,self-explanatory wodrs, and extensive use of thesanrus. The reason, in addition to the content of multifarious needs extensive vocabulary to carry, also with extensive<Qi Dong Ye Yu> relevant content sources. In addition, the extensive vocabulary and careful wording innovative features as well as popular language inseparable; The second chapter defines the scope of new words and meanings, referring to Chinese Dictionary, Tang and Song Language Dictionary,Song Language Dictionary and other books, through exhaustive statistical analysis of the book neologism overview and generate ways. At the same time,it helps in advance of documentary evidence of Chinese Dictionary, makeup entries and so on. In this thesis, the so-called "new" is available to both existing written or electronic documents concerned; The third chapter is the analysis from the aspects of the speech, the structure of the <Qi Dong Ye Yu> with the words of allotropy synchronic, and then from the aspects of time and usage for the analysis of the diachronic perspective; The fourth chapter, choose<Chinese Dictionary> as a reference to collect, sort and compare to get the idiom in<Qi Dong Ye Yu>,and analysis from the perspective of the times, focus on the first generation of idioms in the book.Finally is the conclusion, summarize the paper respectively first, the two and three, the four chapter.
