The Pu Cha Tribe is an imperial concubine family in Jin Dynasty. It plays anirreplaceable role in the development of the history of Jin Dynasty. The Jin Dynasty hasa history of120years and totally has9emperors (not including the last emperor, WanYan chenglin) and there are four queens and a concubine that appear in the Pu Cha Tribe.They made their family members hold many high rights in political and military in thegovernment of Jin Dynasty by their prominent position. In political, they can affect thedecisions of the governors and formed a unique military noble group. And they alsohave a complex relationship with other tribes and formed a powerful force. The Pu ChaTribe was started by their military abilities in Jin Dynasty and their family remarkablework won the trust of the governors and had been entrusted with important task. Thesehad laid the foundation for the rise of the tribe. Especially the wars with Liao Dynasty,Song Dynasty, West Xia Dynasty, the Pu Cha Tribe members often tended to the firstline. These made a great contribution in the whole country’s exploring and expandingand the later wars with the resistance to Mongolia southward invasion. The Pu ChaTribe members can be seen here and there and rendered meritorious rewards and madetheir own contribution to the defence of Jin Dynasty. The Pu Cha family not only hadachievements in military, but also in political, they also gave useful advice andsuggestions to the governors, especially in the political period of Pu Cha-tong, PuCha-zhengliu, Pu Cha-sizhong and Pu Cha-loushi. At that time,we can see theprosperity and the powerful force of the family. With the decline of Jin Dynasty, thestatus of the Pu Cha Tribe did not decline, however, in became more and more powerful.This was mainly because the southward invasion of Mongolia in late Jin. The rulersneed the generals to defend the territory, so the status of the Pu Cha family becamemore respected. This paper in mainly talk about the foundation and the development ofthe Pu Cha Tribe and the Pu Cha family governors in Jin Dynasty and the paper is alsosupported by some typical person in the Pu Cha Tribe. According to study thedevelopment of the typical person to reflect the social background. Through these, wehope to have a comprehensive understanding of the Pu Cha Tribe and their greatimportant influence on the military,political and culture in Jin Dynasty.
