Research On Family Education Of Peng’s Imperial Examination Family In The Qing Dynasty

In the Qing Dynasty,reading was not only an important way for personal development,but also a good platform for family prosperity.If the family wants to prosper,it must strengthen the cultural education of the clanfolk,develop toward the goal of "learning and becoming an official",increase the number of the imperial examination and the number of the first and the number of the official in the family,and improve the social status and reputation of the family.As a result,a number of famous imperial examination families emerged in Jiangnan region with developed economy and strong culture.The Peng family of Changzhou was one of the typical representatives of the imperial examination families in Jiangnan area in the Qing Dynasty.Because of its most prosperous imperial examination,it ranked first among the four distinguished families of "Peng,Song,Pan and Han" and enjoyed high social prestige.Changzhou Peng family is also known as the cultural family,which attaches great importance to the improvement of the family’s cultural quality.The family has continued the cultural accumulation for over a hundred years and has made relatively brilliant achievements on the imperial examination road.The reason why the Peng family of Changzhou can leave a strong mark in history is inseparable from the success of family education.It is of great significance to explore the family education of Changzhou Peng family,and to sum up the historical achievements and modern enlightenment of their family education.On the basis of previous studies,this paper makes a systematic study on the education of Peng’s family,an imperial examination family in Changzhou,Qing Dynasty,by using the methods of literature research,historical research and comparative research.Firstly,this paper analyzes the historical background of the Peng family in Changzhou,and explores the reasons why the education of the Peng family in Changzhou is paid attention to and developed,as well as the historical conditions for the formation of this imperial examination family from the perspectives of politics,economy and culture,as well as society and family.Secondly on the basis of time background,clear the purpose of family education and training objectives,specify the family want to train what kind of person,further in-depth study of changzhou ajay family education content and education mode,are analyzed in detail of changzhou ajay family education content,mainly includes three aspects: the study of culture teaching,cultivation of virtue of teaching and learning in the teaching of baiyi.Good way of family education content and family education is closely linked,cheung chau ajay family education mode is very diverse,including teaching as early as possible,yan du classes,attaches great importance to the mother church,the family and receiving,precept,osmosis,yi zhuang student,encourage more,around education,comprehensive social,spectrum ancestor worship,increase knowledge education from six aspects.Finally,based on the education contents and ways of Peng’s family in Changzhou,this paper summarizes four characteristics of the education of Peng’s family in Changzhou,which mainly include: inheriting the family tradition of scientific examination,flexible education transformation,diverse education methods,and the most famous charitable education.Throughout the hundred years of the Peng family in Changzhou,talents came forth in large numbers and the road of the imperial examination was fruitful.Based on the education experience of the Peng family in Changzhou and the reality of family education in today’s society,this paper explores and reveals the enlightenment of the family education of this imperial examination family to today’s family education.
