This paper focuses on the relationship between painting conception and sketching from thepractice of painting perspective.This paper discusses and demonstrates the importance of the conceptof painting in the painting process with the impressionists as example.Paintings are consistent withpainting conception and concepts bring works. Changes of concepts and works in the impressionistpaintings are particularly acute. This paper states this problem with the example ofearly-impressionist, impressionist and post-impressionism and discusses the corresponding changesbetween concepts and works which brings us enlightenment.
