A Study On The Musical Form Of Hancheng Yangge

Hancheng yangko is a kind of comprehensive art form which combines singing, dancing and drama and it mainly popular in Hancheng-a historical and cultural city. With its rich content, colorful style, simple and humorous art character, it is loved by local people. It carries the folk music culture and record life like state of Hancheng people by its distinguishing feature. Hancheng yangko has been listed in the "The List of Shanxi Intangible Culture Heritage" in2007and "The List of National Intangible Culture Heritage" in2008. This paper carries out the research and analysis on Hancheng yangko from the angle of music technology theory. And the study starts from the music of Hancheng yangko itself combined with the existing Hancheng yangko tunes and audio. The whole paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter one describes the reason and the significance of the topic, as well as domestic research and innovative part that related to this topic.Chapter two firstly is from different aspects of Hancheng yangko. Such as geographic, culture overview and historical origin...etc.Then, mainly the analysis on artistic characteristics of Hancheng yangko. The article analyses the performance form, the role of playing, the costume props, the yangko music, the thyme of performance for Hancheng yongko. And then comes to the conclusion that Hancheng yongko is a comprehensive art form which is main for singing and with talking and dancing.Chapter three analyses Hancheng yangko musicl characteristics from the tune, structure, lyrics language feature, rhythm and accompaniment.Chapter four mainly discusses the drama factors contained in Hangchen yangko. Analyzing the melody, tune, plate, percussion music and local elements that accumulated by Hancheng yangko.Chapter five discusses the new exploration of Hancheng yangko today. It contains the present status of development after the PRC foundation, and the new performance of Hanchen yongko, as well as writer’s thinking of Hancheng yangko in the inheritance and development of future.
