The creation of Handel’s English oratorios is unique and dramatic, focusing on the character’s features and personality traits. It is a perfect blend of the music and the performance, with a strong artistic appeal. The Works are full with a full-tasting musical characteristics of the Baroque era, coupled with his British experience and composing, eventually forming a unique and theatrical charm. However, due to the limitations of language and information in the domestic area, Handel’s English oratorios have not been widely studied and researched. Fortunate to choose this topic because of I studied more than two years in Handel’s hometown of the UK. I have collected and learned much resource in literature, works as well as live music concerts.I found lots of writing and video materials for this paper, at the same time, researching by the main methods, like the literature, observation and interviews, which are valuable for the article. Apart from that, this information was collected, listed, analyze and discuss boldly. In the course of researching and accumulating, some life experiences in the UK about the composer is collected and his English works is analyzed. Eventually, figure out the creative style and contributions of Handel English oratorios. I hope this article will help effectively for the studying of Handel’s English oratorios. The full text is divided into four chapters:The1st chapter:Handel’s musical experience before arriving in the UKFocus on Handel’s life and musical experience before going to the United Kingdom; analyze the state of the music, the culture and the situation of the British oratorios under the development of politics and economy in the UK; summarize the reasons why Handel joined the British nationality.The2nd chapter:the characteristics of Handel’s English oratorios impacted by his British life experience. Analysis Handel’s living and creative experiences in the UK and elaborate the composing characteristic of his English oratorios influenced by these experiences. Analyze the most two typical English oratorio works of Handel.The3ed chapter:the great contribution to British music of Handel oratorio. Handel composed numerous of works throughout his life and a majority of his works won a far-reaching reputation in the world. He founded oratorios and promoted its development during his years of exploration. His creative ideas which were unique set a glorious example for the later composers, as well as, made a great contribution to the cause of the British oratorios. I honestly hope that this article will effectively help the teaching and the researching of Handel’s English oratorios.
