Handel was an important composer in the Baroque period,and his orchestra was his mo st representative musical genre.Handel,who was later known as the "father of the opera," has played a huge role in promoting the development of European music.This article chooses Handel's two oratorial arias "Thank you,God(Dank Sei Dir,Herr)" and "Oh,if I have a lyre(oh,had I Jubal' s lyre)" for music analysis and singing skills study.In oct ober 2016,Professor Liu Yumei came to Tianjin normal university for academic exchan ge guidance.Teacher Liu guided me on Handel's oratorio "Oh,if I have a lyre(oh,had I Jubal's lyre)",from which I benefited a lot in the part of breath control.This paper anal yzes the two works from creative background,musical form,style contrast and singing breathing control,flower skills,language grasp,emotional requirements,to better under standing the oratorio.Hope this study can provide some help to religious vocals and Ha ndel opera works learners.
