The replacement of Yuan by Ming dynasty signified the rebuilding of Confucian civilization, triggering a profound transformation in central dynasty, also influencing the neighboring governments’ political situation. In such historical circumstance, out of geopolitical closeness, the government of Gaoli struggled to retain a close and balanced tie with Yuan and Ming dynasty, witnessing the above mentioned replacement. This paper tries to explore the relationship between Gaoli and Yuan, Ming during the late period of Gaoli, which also covered the time of displacement of Yuan by Ming.This article is divided into the next two parts. The first part focuses on the relationship of Kingdom of Gaoli with Yuan dynasty during the reign of King of Gongmin, divided into four chapters. The first chapter discusses the decline of King of Gaoli in his political status, as the disorder in Yuan Dynasty, caused the devaluation of Fuma of Gaoli to both sides.
