People tend to live a healthier lifestyle in China with the level of life risingrapidly. Milk and Dairy products have become popular in Chinese markets and arefavored by many consumers. Increasing amount of milk demands has brought itsdiverse advertisements and commercials into our daily life as well. Meanwhile,advertising languages come into people’s life. However, it is important foradvertisers to stress the uniqueness of their products, since the homogeneitystrengthen with time.As an important approach for consumers to get to know the products,advertising language reflects the diversity of milk in some way. The influences ofnouns in those languages have attracted people’s attention. Recently, there are notmany studies based on milk advertising language and they are unsystematic. Thisstudy is based on the nouns in Chinese milk advertising language, trying to build avaluable pedigree of the nouns by using statistical methods, analysis, inductivemethods and surveys. This thesis not only makes species classification of the nouns,but also analyzes the relationship between nouns and advertising techniques as wellas the relationship between nouns and advertising appeals. Besides, this thesisexplores the collocation of nouns and conducts a case study to find the strategies ofthe language used in milk advertising.This study is under a lineage research perspective, I hope the findings of thisresearch can bring some linguistic inspiration to the making and design of milkadvertisements and commercials.
