"Each dynasty has its own representative literature."Ci emerged in the Tang Dynasty, developed in the five dynasties and at last reached the peak in the Song Dynasty. Even the boom and evolution of Ci cannot do without the development of society and the efforts of poets, it cannot be ignored that the change of the mode of communication also played an important role.Ci was originally the popular folk songs. Via the singsong girls’ performances, it became fashionable in cities in the Song Dynasty and the Song literati were fond of it. Text communication, which was used as an aid at early stage, was gradually taking the place of music communication and become the most important with the spring up of printing and the extinction of singing."The medium is the message."Medium has a great reaction on information, knowledge and content, so it can mark it message with its own characteristics. Oral communication and text communication are using different media, so they are quite different in communication ranges, classes and occasions, and also vary in spread velocity, timeliness and handing down.This article emphasize on the comparison of the media characteristics and communication characteristics of those two communication modes, and analyze the impacts on the creation mode, social function, critical standard to prove the important role it played in the evolution of Ci.
